Company of manufacture organizes document flow with support of InfoSERVER

To control the phases of a project through digital documentation was the main challenge of one of the main industries of manufacture of Brazil, which hired InfoSERVER, responsible for the supply of applications. The solutions of GED and workflow had provided to success in its internal processes and the satisfaction of the users.

Based in the necessity of the company to control its projects of IT (Information Technology), from a simple maintenance to most complex, it was essential to control the flow, the useful life and the document storage created during the project – before dispersed in particular folders of the involved ones (minutes meeting, proposals internal techniques, schedules and its updates, and others).

InfoSERVER – that already had know-how through an internal system for the control of the projects in progress, studied the necessity of the customer and considered the construction of a system in Web environment, supported in Microsoft Share Point Portal Server, that uses resources of workflow and GED (Electronic Document Management) to storage digital information.

In the first phase of the project, InfoSERVER used the SQL Server database to storage data and arrangement of the File System to store the archives. Share Point will be contemplated in the next phase of the project.

The success was reached in the first phase because it allowed a simple and efficient instrument to the internal community of the organization. The current phase evolves the scope of the system to control hours and expenditures of the projects, with the integration of these functionalities of the R/3 system 4.6c (SAP), the system of management of the customer.
